Relationship between Gender and Literacy, Defendants
When it comes to defendants,
the picture is similar – male defendants are more likely to be literate than
female defendants. However, the correlation is somewhat weaker than that for
the plaintiffs. The difference in literacy between male and female defendants
is significant, but is not as strong as the difference between male and female
plaintiffs.
